New Year’s Miles 4 Meredith

Team Tripower showed up in force for the first Miles 4 Meredith, a fundraiser for Meredith Nicolls, a fellow mountain biker and great chef who took a terrible spill a few years ago at the Tidewater Mountain Bike Challenge. He broke his neck and is now paralyzed below his shoulders. We raised $800 for Meredith’s health fund. The event was organized by our host Dan Gibson, who is recovering from his own back issues and enjoyed his longest ride in some time.

The Tripower armada rolls on.

We rolled Dan’s 25-mile training loop through suburban Virginia Beach at an amiable 16-17mph pace. It was nice catching up with everybody and bestowing New Year’s wishes. And the pace was just what the doctor ordered after the morning’s effort…
